“I love my job. We work with people trying to wrap their mind around the loss of a loved one, often fighting over a piece of property that’s not worth fighting over. Families break up over things like that. It’s hard to see but easy to empathize. We hold their hand through it all.”
Jaime Nolan
Jaime Nolan is a confessed overachiever. When she met Andy Hays, she was a former hospitality professional who burned out on entitled guests and was studying to be a paralegal because she discovered she couldn’t be a crime scene investigator in Indiana without first being a cop. And she couldn’t find a single job listing for her preferred job – professional student.
Her paralegal professor happened to mention a law firm that was looking for a paralegal. Upon speaking with Ms. Nolan, Andy said, ‘Save your money, don’t take more classes, I’ll teach you everything you need to know.’ And she has been with the firm ever since.
If you ask her why she explains that the firm covers the two criteria she considers most important – stimulating work with good people. ‘It’s hard to beat the environment I’m in. The work is definitely not mundane! Never a dull moment. And this is by far the best group of people I’ve worked with. We get along so well! They’re like family. I look forward to seeing them and working with them every day.’
